COURSE OVERVIEW

A Diploma of Nursing is a vocational education and training program designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to work as an enrolled nurse (also known as a Division 2 nurse) in various healthcare settings. Enrolled nurses work under the supervision of registered nurses and play an essential role in providing direct patient care and assisting with various nursing tasks.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Nursing program, graduates become eligible to apply for registration as an enrolled nurse with the nursing regulatory body in their country. Enrolled nurses can work in a variety of healthcare settings, such as hospitals, aged care facilities, community health centers, and clinics.

For those who wish to further their nursing career, the Diploma of Nursing can serve as a pathway to further studies, such as the Bachelor of Nursing (for registered nurse status) or specialized nursing programs.
