Founded in 1946, the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra is the only Australian university established by the Parliament. After a 2006 restructuring, ANU comprises seven colleges with flexible study options, allowing students to customize their degrees.
The main campus in Acton spans 358 acres of parkland, emphasizing sustainability with over 10,000 trees. ANU offers diverse student accommodations within walking or cycling distance to the city.
ANU has four additional campuses and fosters a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and volunteering opportunities. Internationally, ANU has partnerships with over 170 universities, providing students opportunities for academic exchanges and global study programs.
